Is your state in the Obesity Belt?

Some states out of belt may have counties with high obesity.

There are a number of states in the Obesity Belt, in which some or all counties show an increased incidence of weight related health issues, including diabetes and strokes. The states include:

Alabama
Arkansas
Florida
Georgia
Kentucky
Louisiana
Mississippi
North Carolina
Ohio
Pennsylvania
South Carolina
Tennessee
Texas
Virginia
West Virginia

If your state is in the obesity belt, your county may still be outside the measurements for obesity. Likewise, parts of states like Arizona, New Mexico, Washington or North and South Dakota may have high obesity levels in some counties but not overall.

Notes and Special Information

Special note: An active lifestyle is a better solution for obesity than just moving to another state, since your weight will cross county and state lines with the rest of you.
